Steve Wood

Steve Wood was raised in Lincolnton, NC and studied broadcasting at Brevard College and Campbell University. He loves radio and considers it a privilege to work at the best country music station in the state. "I'm honored to be in the company of some of the most knowledgeable and friendliest broadcasters in the business", says Steve of his co-workers at WKML. In addition to part-timing at WKML, Steve teaches Theater and American Literature at Cape Fear High School where he enjoys being around his students because in his words, "they keep me feeling young and teach me more about life than I think I could teach them". In his off time, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter on their rural Sampson County estate. He wants all of the WKML listeners to know that what they hear from WKML DJs on the air is what they'll hear from them in person - "these folks are genuine, down-to-earth people and they love what they do!"
